What are the most recent updates to Cinesphere and Ontario Place due to Covid-19?
With the park open for use, all visitors are asked to respect the following guidelines when you are on our site to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
If you are sick or if you have been in contact with someone that is sick, please do not enter the Ontario Place grounds.
Keep a healthy space of 2 metres between you and other park visitors.
Dogs must be on leash and dog owners should be careful to maintain a distance of the recommended 2 metres from other dogs and persons.
Use garbage receptacles provided to protect workers and to help keep the park clean.

How do I get to Ontario Place?

Is it free to go to Ontario Place?
There is no admission to walk through Ontario Place. We are a public park with year round activities (some rental fees may apply).
Is there food and beverage available for purchase?
The Vista Eatery offers a limited menu for take out only. *Please note the Vista Eatery is currently closed for the winter.
Is there a 19+ licensed area?
During the summer months, the Vista Eatery offers a casual dining experience and a licensed patio overlooking Lake Ontario. *Please note the Vista Eatery is currently closed for the winter.
What is Trillium Park and William G. Davis Trail?
Trillium Park and William G. Davis Trail is located along the eastern edge of Ontario Place. The park features an open-air pavilion, and lots of rocky areas to climb and see the views of Lake Ontario. The new trail is named in honour of Bill Davis who was Premier when Ontario Place first opened in 1971. Visit our Trillium Park and William G. Davis Trail page for more info.

How do I host a fire in the Trillium Park fire pit?
We have four pit pit locations available for reservation.
Where can I park?
Ontario Place has several parking lots for public use. Entrances to the parking lots can be accessed from Remembrance Drive and Ontario Place Boulevard. Visit our Parking page for more info.
Can I walk or ride my bike to Ontario Place?
There is a pedestrian and bike path called The Martin Goodman Trail that runs past Ontario Place along Lakeshore Blvd from Etobicoke in the west end to the beaches in the east end. You can also cross Lakeshore from the CNE grounds, which will take you directly to the Ontario Place West entrance. Cyclists must dismount and walk bicycles within the event space and/or pedestrian crossing bridges. Locate a Bike Share(opens in a new tab) location near Ontario Place.
Are there bike racks at Ontario Place?
We have 3 bike racks located at each entrance to Ontario Place.
West Island entrance is located at Ontario Drive & Lake Shore Boulevard West – pedestrian access only.
Park & Trail / East entrance is located at Ontario Place Boulevard & Lake Shore Boulevard West.
Budweiser Stage / Echo Beach entrance is located at Remembrance Drive & Lake Shore Boulevard West.
Can I ride my bike around Ontario Place?
Yes, however cyclists must dismount and walk bicycles within the event space and/or pedestrian crossing bridges.
Can I bring a BBQ?
Ontario Place does not currently have or allow any BBQs.
Can I bring my own food or beverage to Ontario Place?
Visitors are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic refreshments to Ontario Place. Please do not to feed wildlife and please ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
Is Ontario Place fully accessible?
Ontario Place is accessible in various areas however there are some outdoor paths and pedestrian bridges with a steep grade. Cinesphere is accessible. Please note washrooms and concession are located on the lower level however can be accessed via elevator. There are 2 parking spots located outside the West Entrance which is the closest entrance to Cinesphere.
Are there washrooms?
Yes, there are several washrooms at Ontario Place. Please see map for specific locations.
Are there ATMs on site?
Ontario Place does not have any ATMs on site. For specific events, however, there may be some available.
Can I bring my camera?
Yes, and feel free to share your photos online!
Is Cinesphere open?
Cinesphere opened to the public as of November 3, 2017. For info on screenings and to purchase tickets please visit our Cinesphere page.
Can I bring my dog?
Ontario Place Pet Policy
Dogs are allowed at Ontario Place, however all dogs must be kept on a handheld leash that is six feet or shorter and be well behaved at all times. Pet owners are required to pick up after their pets and properly dispose of their droppings.
Service Animal Policy
Ontario Place welcomes visitors with service animals. The Pet Policy applies to service animals with the following exemptions:
Service animals in a working capacity are allowed in all public areas of the park when accompanied by a visitor with a disability; and,
Service animals should be harnessed, leashed or tethered unless such devices interfere with the service animal’s work, or if the visitor’s disability prevents the use of these devices. In that case, the visitor must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal or other effective controls."
